of intuitive perception the attitudes of karankimi krodhana, bhairavi lelihanaya & kechari are revealed whereby the supreme
attainment manifests.
Commentory:-
Mudras are gestures or attitudes of psychic
powers which attract the divine forces in the universe. They are very potent & can completely eliminate any negative effect
that the sadhaka may encounter in his sadhna. In hath yoga mudra is practiced along with asana, pranayama & bandha to channel
the energy & induce balance. In kundalini & kriya yoga, mudra is used to awaken the chakras and kundalini. In classical
Indian dance forms, mudra is used to convey feeling as well as to add meaning & grace to the dance.Mudras influence the
glands & hormones secretions in the physical body as well as pranas, nadis & chakras in the pranic bodies, thereby assisting
the sadhaka to experience altered states of consciousness. They are to be introduced at the specific stages of sadhna and in
specific sequences. If this is not observed, they can induce opposite & negative effects instead of the desired ones. This
knowledge has always been handed down from, whereas in the classical text mudras are often explained in a coded & twilight
language. This was done purposefully to make it difficult for even the most discerning aspirant to perform these practices
without expert guidance of guru or real tantric master.
Intuition is a state which manifests beyond
the mind when the thoughts have been transcended.Thoughts are the form & substance of the mind. When there are no thoughts, there
is no mind.In this state a higher power manifests known as intuition or pranja, which is beyond the realm of antahkarana. This
means that intuition is even higher than buddhi or intellect.Mind & intellect operate through words, logic & language
which are finite & therefore limited but the state of intuition transcends all these. Therefore higher knowledge is revealed
through intuition or pranja not intellect or buddhi. When the sadhaka perceives intuitively he is able to know something which
is beyond the mind & intellect as pranja is the source of unlimited knowledge. At times such knowledge may seem irrational
to a mind that has not transcended the finite boundaries of analytical thought. But the higher mind or super mind perceives
the truth behind intuitive knowledge. When intuition begins to manifests in the sadhaka, the tantric mudras are revealed to
further enhance & elevate his awareness.Karankini means skeleton and this mudra induces vairagya or detachment.vairagya
is a state of non attachment to the objects & experiences that one has enjoyed & there is no craving to have them
again. In very simple terms, vairagya means absence of raga & dwesha of likes or dislikes which is an absolute prerequisite
for experiences higher states of consciousness or awareness. One cannot transcend the thoughts & mind without vairagya
as the mind hovers over it attachments & does not let the awareness ascend. This is the mudra of jnana.
Krodhana means anger & this mudra is assumed
to release the superfluous tensions from the body, mind & psyche,so that a tranquil awareness may descend.this is done
by tightening the facial muscles & other muscles of the body & drawing all the elements or tatwaas to their source
which is nada or mantra. This is the mudra of mantra.
Bhairavi is also known an unmani mudra or the
no mind attitude, where the gaze is focused outward but the awareness is turned inward beyond the mind.In hatha yoga bhairavi
mudra is a hand mudra also known as shoonaya mudra. It is practisced along with padmaasana & siddhaaasan by placing the
hands on the lap with the left palm on the top of the right, facing upwards.Bhairavi mudra brings about a swift change in the
dimension of awareness by creating a union between the opposite poles of energy within the physical & pranic body.It is
the mudra of siddhi.
Lelihanaya means flames & it is the mudra
by which the sadhaka perceives his consciousness as an extension of the supreme consciousness. It is the mudra of shakti.
Kechari means roaming in the open space. This
mudra liberates the consciousness from matter & allows the awareness to travel freely in the open space. In other words
it removes the barrier of the physical body & its material associations, so that the I consciousness merges into the supreme
consciousness. This is a very important mudra even in hatha yoga where the tongue is elongated & rolled back onto the upper
palate. With the mastery, the tongue is gradually pushed into the opening at the back of the throat where it tastes the nectar
or amrita which flows down from bindu visarga. In this way the downward flow of amrita is reversed & sent back up to the
brain thus rejuvenating the sadhaka & allowing the awareness to roam free in the higher space of consciousness.Kechari
mudra is also very important tantric practice"As also shown by elongated tongue pictures of "MA KALI".This tongue is
slowly taken upto the centre of forehead in the Ajna chakra & thereby controlling the flow of ida & pingala nadis
is sushumana by blocking the left & the right cavity as required. It leads to awakening of sushumana nadi which leads to
the generation of excessive heat in the form of pranic energy. This heat is similar to the heat generated by yogis in pranayama, but
far more intense. Stimulations of pineal glands or Ajna chakra related to vishuddhi chakra results In amrita falling &
flowing the entire body.Lalana is the centre where the falling nectar is collected & stored & vishuddhi where the
collected nectar is purified & processed, this is the nectar of immortality which the yogis drinks & live for thousands
of years living ever young full of vitality.Trough the practice of kechari mudra the increased flow of amrita is reabsorbed
by the higher centers generating the experience of tranquility & expansion of consciousness awareness. These 5 mudras
are important mudras of Lord Shiva which leads to inner illumination & supreme attainments by REAL TANTRICS & YOGIS.
